He obtained a bachelor's degree in science, a master's degree in science from Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology in 1987, 1990 and 1997 respectively, and a doctorate in systems engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University. In 2002, he was promoted to professor. He is currently a professor, doctoral supervisor, and director of the Operations Research and Control Department of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology. He was the academic leader from the first to the fourth term (2001-2013) of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology. From 2011 to present, he is the subject leader of the doctoral program of "Operations Research and Cybernetics" and enjoys the "Sanqin Talents" allowance of Shaanxi Province.
    He has been to Hong Kong many times as a senior visiting scholar and engaged in collaborative research. He has presided over more than 10 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education Doctoral Program Fund. He has participated in more than 10 scientific research projects including key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Hong Kong Government Fund projects. He has published more than 300 papers, among which ESI is highly cited. Published 3 papers, more than 100 of which were indexed by SCI; published 3 monographs (chapters) and 2 textbooks. He won 2 first-class scientific and technological achievements in Shaanxi Province, 3 first-class and second-class scientific research achievements in colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province, and 15 other scientific research and teaching awards. It has trained more than 100 doctoral and master's students, among whom more than 20 have won provincial and school-level outstanding doctoral thesis awards and master's thesis awards, as well as school-level outstanding undergraduate thesis awards. He is a key member of the national teaching team.
