Zhang Yongbing is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Computer Science. The main research areas are computer vision, biomedical image processing, computational imaging, etc. He is a member of many well-known domestic and foreign societies such as the Computer Federation of China, China Artificial Intelligence Society, IEEE , SPIE , and OSA .

Research experience: Obtained a PhD degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2010 . From 2010 to 2012 , he conducted postdoctoral research at the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University. He stayed at the school to teach in 2012 and was promoted to associate researcher in 2014. During this period, he served as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, USA for visiting research. Starting from 2021 , he will join the School of Computer Science, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) as a professor and continue to engage in teaching and scientific research.

Research directions: computer vision, biomedical image processing, computational imaging, etc., published more than 100 papers in related fields , many articles published in top artificial intelligence and computer vision conferences such as NeurIPS , AAAI , CVPR , ICCV , TIP , MICCAI , etc., and won awards 2 international conference paper awards ; more than 50 authorized invention patents , and 2 U.S. invention patents (relevant results are used in industrial visual inspection, stereoscopic theater broadcast control, Meitu smartphones, etc.). The current main research work is to explore the application of artificial intelligence and computer vision in the fields of life medicine and medical health.

Scientific research honors: Won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice , Guangdong Province Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent, Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Award and other science and technology award
