Prof. Algi is a full professor in Aksaray University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Middle East Technical University in 2002 and 2006. He began his independent carreer in Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2007. In 2014, he has joined Aksaray University. He ha completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Texas A&M University, USA. He has carried out many national and international research projects. He published more than fifty papers in international peer-reviewed SCI journals. Prof. Algi has a h-index of 28 along with 1943 citations. His current research interest is focused on photodynamic therapy, photothermaltherapy, cancer, theranostics, antibacterial materials, sensors, chemiluminescence, polymers, electrochromics, photochromics, carbon dots, nanomaterials, and organo-lanthanide complexes.
